We've witnessed many times. Everyone knows couples that they were in awe of. They were the ideal couple. They were the couple you would only wish to live with. They seemed to be the ideal couple. They were, up until recently. They split and the husband moved out. Friends and family made bets on the amount of time it would take until the husband came back, asking his wife for forgiveness. It didn't happen. He didn't return, much to everyone's surprise. Not ever. And so the couple split. Everyone is scratching their heads. Some men are not able to recover from an affair that appeared to be strong but others barely survive. Here are a few theories I have.

Things aren't always as they appear. First things first. The ideal "perfect" couple isn't likely to ever exist. There is no way to be perfect all of the time. The representations aren't always true. Even though a couple could appear to be combative or rough, at least they have honesty and an investment. Although a couple may appear perfect and not fight but they're hiding some very important issues that could come back to bite them.

During The Actual Separation, The Couple Grow Further And Further Apart: I know that I often sound like a broken record when I stress the necessity of establishing an ongoing communication plan during a trial or marital separation. But because of my own experience, I know that it's very important. I've witnessed a lot of couples drift apart as they break up. You want to communicate or even call. You truly do. However, you start to think about awkwardness after you notice the amount of time that has passed since your last call. It just keeps getting more difficult.

Although the couple started out having a few issues and showing some promising signs, their relationship slowly declines until they begin to feel they're not able to have enough. They eventually leave. Many couples break up in hope of "shaking up" their marriage or of "scaring" their spouse into making changes. The concept is that neither spouse can pretend that everything is fine. The parties cannot just stay to the status the status quo. It becomes obvious once the couple has separated that they must make some changes or your marriage could come to an end. It is possible to do this with great intentions. However, real change isn't easy. Sometimes it will require assistance from outside. It is not always easy or will to get it done. Some spouses simply don't have the patience to just sit back and wait for it to occur. They get frustrated and begin to believe that, regardless of the length of time they sit, nothing is going to be able to change their minds and it's a waste of everyone's time waiting.
