A couple may look perfect and never fight, but that's only because they gloss over or avoid some vital concerns that could come back to bite them in the future.

The Couple Get Further and More Apart in The Actual Separation. It's something I've seen firsthand. I've also observed lots of couples who gradually loose contact and then drift away from each other. You are trying to contact or communicate. It's your intention. You realize that much has changed since the last time you spoke. You are worried about the awkwardness. The situation only gets worse from this point on.

Although the couple may have started out being only somewhat disaffected, but still showing a decent amount of optimism, the decline continues until one or both of them thinks there's no room left. They finally give up. A lot of people get divorced in hopes of "shaking up their marriage" or "scaring their spouse into making changes. A couple cannot claim that the situation has changed. The status quo is not acceptable. It becomes obvious once you have separated that you have to change things or your marriage could come to an end. You can have good intentions. However, real change isn't easy. Sometimes, it will require outside help. It is not always easy or will to get it done. Some spouses aren't willing to sit and wait for it to happen. They get annoyed and believe that no matter how much they put off, the outcome will never change to their taste. So, it's an unnecessary be waiting.
