It's something we have witnessed many times. Everybody has known couples who they were jealous of. They were the ideal couple. They were the couple you knew would last a lifetime. They were the perfect couple. But they didn't. The husband eventually moved out and they split up. Family and friends bet on the time it would take before the husband came back, asking his wife to forgive him. It didn't happen. The man didn't show up, much to everyone's surprise. Not ever. They ended up getting divorced. The whole thing has shocked everyone. It's not clear why men aren't returning to their relationships even though they appear to be solid. In other relationships, they are barely holding on It seems like they feel lost. Here are my thoughts.

The reality isn't always as it appear. It's unlikely that the "perfect" couple is actually there. Nobody is perfect. Reality is often not like they appear. While a couple may seem to be in a fight or have a rough relationship, there are financially sound and honest investments. While a couple might appear perfect and not fight however, they're covering up some important issues that could end up to be a sting in the back of their necks.

The Couple Get Further and Separated in Actual Separation. My personal experience has taught me how important this is. It's normal for couples to lose touch and fall apart. It is important to stay in touch or make a phone call. True. But then, as you walk around, you realize how long was since the last phone call. It makes you fearful of being awkward. The situation just gets worse from there.

While the couple might start out slightly discordant, and showing a good amount of optimism, the decline continues until one or both thinks there's no room left. And they eventually give up. A lot of people want to "shake up" their relationships or "scare" their partner to change. A couple cannot claim that the situation has changed. It is no longer acceptable. Separation can be a sign that something must change. It is possible to do this with great intentions. However, real change isn't easy. Sometimes, it will require external assistance. It's not always feasible or practical for everyone to do it. Some spouses aren't willing to sit and wait for it to occur. They are frustrated and begin to believe that, regardless of how long they wait it will never change to their liking which is why it's an unnecessary waste of time to continue to wait.

Waiting strategically can cultivate good fruit in our lives such as patience, perseverance, and endurance. Believe that the god who saved you hears your cries (micah 7:7). You have to find things to do while you wait.
