We've all seen it. Everybody has seen couples all envied. They were the couple who had the perfect marriage. They were the couple you knew would last a lifetime. They seemed to be the ideal couple. They were perfect until it wasn't. They were back together, and the husband left for a night out. Friends and family bet on the time it would take for the husband to come back to his wife and ask for their forgiveness. The incident didn't happen. It was a surprise to everyone, he didn't come back. Not ever. They ended up getting divorced. The world is left to wonder. What is the reason why some men don't return when their marriage was always solid, whereas other marriages that seem to be barely hanging on endure? Below are my speculations.

The reality isn't always what you Seem: First things first. The "perfect" couple may not exist. Nobody is perfect all of the time. The appearances of people are not the reality. A couple may not look perfect or fight, but there is trust and commitment. While a couple may appear perfect and never fight, this is because they fail to identify or deal with the real issues that will be a problem later on.

The Couple Get Further and more apart in the Actual Separation. Based on my own experience and observations, this is something I believe strongly in. It's normal for couples to lose contact and become distant. You really mean to call or talk. This is the truth. When you take a look around, you notice that it's been a long time since you've been passed since your last call. Then you start worrying about awkwardness. Everything just keeps getting worse.

While the couple appears to be in an estranged relationship at the beginning, it soon becomes apparent that they are no longer in a relationship that is compatible. They end up giving up. Many people separate in the desire of "shaking up" their marriage or of "scaring" their spouse into change. The concept is that neither party will pretend to be normal anymore. Both parties cannot continue to just accept the status quo. It becomes clear once you've separated that you have to change things or your marriage could end. Many people enter this with great intentions. Real change can be hard. Sometimes, it requires external assistance. It isn't always possible for everyone to achieve it or maintain it. And some spouses are not willing to be patient and sit around waiting for it to happen. They get annoyed and think that regardless of how long they put off, the outcome will never change to their liking. So, it's a wasteful to sit around waiting.

If a large raindrop hits them. Some insects are capable of flying during rainfall and can withstand direct hits from raindrops (see this post from scientific american on researchers bombarding mosquitoes with raindrops). A stable perch is better than one that blows around with the breeze, but beggars can’t be.

They tend to hold water when it rains, weighing them down and making it difficult for them to fly, so they stay inside. Cicadas can still be found when it is raining, but they don't make any noise. So after heavy rainfall, mosquito populations can increase.
