When it comes to the Actual Separation, The Couple grow further and further apart It is my belief that I often sound like an old record when I harp on the importance of setting up an established schedule of communication in the event of a trial or separation. My personal experience has convinced me that this is essential. It's common for couples to lose touch and become distant. You mean to talk or phone. You're sure of it. Then you realize that so much has happened since your last phone call. You worry about awkwardness. Everything just keeps getting worse.

Although the couple might appear to be in a somewhat distant relationship at first, it soon becomes apparent that they are no longer compatible. And they eventually give up. Many people decide to separate with the hope of "shaking things up" or "caring" their spouse to a better future. The concept is that no one can claim that everything is perfect. Both parties cannot continue to just accept the status quo. It becomes clear once you've separated that you must make some changes or your marriage may end. There are many good intentions and go into this with big plans. But it isn't easy to make real changes. Sometimes outside help is needed. It's not always practical or feasible for everyone to do it. Some spouses simply do not have the patience to wait and see it occur. They can become frustrated and believe that even if they wait for a long time there will be no change to their liking. It's unproductive for everyone to be waiting.
