We've all seen it. Everyone has seen couples they were jealous of. They were the perfect couple. They were the ones you could only hope to see grow old with. They seemed to be the ideal couple. They were until they weren't. In the end, somehow, they got separated, and the husband went out. Friends and family made bets on the amount of time it would take until the husband returned, begging his wife for forgiveness. It didn't happen. It was a surprise to all that he didn’t come back. Not ever. The couple then ended up divorcing. And this leaves everyone wondering. Why is it that certain men don't return even though their relationship seems to be solid, whereas others are struggling to survive? Here are a few theories I've got.

The reality is not always as they seem. A "perfect" couple isn't likely to ever exist. There is no perfect person every day. The appearances you portray do not always reflect reality. While a couple may seem to be fighting or have a difficult relationship, they are honest and financial investments. Although a couple might appear flawless and not fight, it is because they fail to acknowledge or confront the root issues that can result in a repercussion later.

The Couple Get Further and Separated in Actual Separation. It's something I have seen in person. It's normal for couples to break up and become distant. It is important to stay in touch or make a phone call. You're sure of it. But then you look around and see that long has gone by since the last phone call, and so you worry about awkwardness. Things just deteriorate from there.

Even though the couple initially bonded but eventually became more distant, they eventually feel less loved and have lost their self-esteem. Then they give up. Many people decide to separate with the hope of "shaking up" or "caring" their spouse to a better future. The idea is that neither spouse should pretend that everything is fine. The status quo isn't acceptable. Separation is a sign that something has to change. It is possible to do this with positive intentions. But, real change can be challenging. Sometimes, it will require outside assistance. Some people are not able or will to get it done. Some spouses aren't willing to be patient and wait around for this to occur. They are dissatisfied and start believing that regardless of how long they wait around it will never change to their liking which is why it's an unnecessary waste of time to sit around waiting.
